Meet The Familias

NICK PEARCE
9.41 AM(Local)

At 4:30 in the morning the boys were up and on the way to the airport. Girls followed soon after. We all made it through security. At 7:05 the plane departed to miami. After a quick lunch and layover we were on our way to Guatemala.
Once there we rode the bus through Guatemala City to Antigua. Checked in at the hotel then went to exchange currency. Then we went downtown and split up for dinner. Nick got his group a little lost.
we had a small incedent, Jake tore open his elbow. He is in need of stitches. He should be fine.
The next morning we went next door for breakfast. After a breakfast of delicious fried bananas and beans and coffee we are in the process of checking out of the hotel. Soon we will be heading to the market to find some goods.
Hope all is well at home. We love you!!!!

  1. Thanks for the scoop, Nick! Sorry to hear about Jake's elbow. Hope you found a good physician assistant to stitch him up! Did ATM cards work there? Will you cook up some fried bananas for us when you get back?

  2. We are glad to hear things are off to a great start (other than Jake's elbow, although about par for the course based on his Scouting experiences). Enjoy your first week of family stays, we look forward to hearing how they go.
